TESTIMONIALS

"It has been my distinct pleasure to know Doug Libla over the past several years, and it is totally without qualification that I am supporting his candidacy for the 25th District of the Missouri Senate. Many people know Doug as an industrious businessman, and as a man who has started and effectively run several business enterprises, and he is personally responsible for the employment of over 300 people in Butler County. Many people know Doug as a committed family man. Many know Doug as a generous philanthropist, who has given back to the community much of the bounty with which he has been blessed. I am fortunate, because I know Doug in all three of those capacities, and that is why I so wholeheartedly back his candidacy for the Missouri Senate. Politics is a rough-and-tumble profession. So is starting and running a highly successful businesses. Doug Libla is the kind of rough-and-tumble Senator this district needs to make its voice heard in Jefferson City and around the state. He will fight for the broad interests represented in this district, as well as for the common sense issues that bind everyone--good schools, right-to-work legislation, protection of the unborn, and strong support of of gun ownership by law abiding Missouri citizens. In todays political world, few would be the equal to Doug Libla. Doug is a man focused on results, not just talk. He listens, then he acts. The 25th District is ready for Doug Libla. Let's be there for him." Scott Matthews Matthews Farms, Inc. "I support Doug Libla for the Missouri 25th District Senate race because of his extensive business background, plus his willingness to stop government overspending, and the unfair and unending tax increases that are hampering small business growth. This will result in more jobs and better communities to which to raise our children. Our children have the right to the same “American Dream” that many of us have had in our generation. Doug Libla has many years of experience in National and International Trade. He is running for Senate at a point in his career where he can focus on the issues, and will make great strides in making things better for all of us here in Southeast Missouri. He is not interested in being a career politician." Nathan Maurer Owner/Real Estate Sales and Commercial Developer "Robertson Contractors, Inc. is proud to offer our support of Doug Libla in his campaign for the Missouri Senate. Doug has shown over the years his abilities to serve in numerous capacities with great success. The leadership skills and work ethics he has demonstrated led him to great success within the business communities locally and abroad. Doug has a true understanding of the problems small business face today. Doug has also shown an endless commitment to our community. Services to the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Three Rivers College Endowment Trust, Ozark Foothills Regional Planning Commission, Missouri Association of State Troopers Emergency Relief Society and many other charitable organizations shows his passion and drive to improve the lives of those he seeks to represent. The integrity, passion, and commitment to excellence in all areas of service within the community is why we are proud to declare our full support of Doug Libla for Senate!" Colby Robertson President, Robertson Contractors, Inc. As a business man, I kept a low profile regarding politics and worked behind the scenes to make Poplar Bluff a better place to live, and a more attractive choice for newcomers and our young people. When Doug decided to enter the race for the 25th Senate District, I was "all in." Having known Doug and Elaine for over thirty years, I know his commitment to the area and to our youth is not a passing fancy, it is real and very deep. Our conversations always drifted to what else we could do and now we know. Doug has been successful in business, real estate and philanthropic efforts for forty years and is giving the knowledge and experiences he gained back to the people in our district. I'm proud to say that I am fully behind him and no longer keeping that low profile. I encourage the voters in the 25th District to follow me in my efforts to elect Doug to that seat." Herman Styles President, Hand Cut Steaks/Colton's Steak House |
"Maggie and I have known Doug and Elaine Libla for twenty years and have found them to be good honest hard working people. Doug is a very successful businessman with many years experience. He and his brother David presently own Mid Continent Nail and employ around 300 people. Doug is active in several charities, Boy's and Girls club, THE MASTERS, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, just to name a few. He has been a loyal and supportive friend of the Highway Patrol for over 30 years. His hard work and dedication are attributes that have contributed to his success in business, and will serve him well as a member of the Missouri State Senate. I fully support his candidacy and intend to vote for him." Major Don Shelton (Retired) Missouri State Highway Patrol "As a life long resident of Southeast Missouri and an operator of a family owned business, I am proud to place my support behind Doug Libla for state senator. I have known Doug for many years and firmly believe he has the moral character and values to withstand the political snares many elected officials become entrapped by. His successful business background and involvement in the community will help bring common sense solutions and ideas to Jefferson City. Doug understands that lower taxes and lesser restrictions on private business will create jobs and wealth; not larger government. I am confident, as a state senator, Doug will represent the 25th District honorably and ensure that our voice is heard." Jerrod Murphy President & Chief Operating Officer, Gamma Healthcare, Inc. "Doug Libla is the embodiment of the American Dream. A self made man who began as a service station owner, repairing tires and tuning up cars, Doug understands what hard work means. This work ethic and courage to take risks has evolved into Mid Continent Nail Corporation, a manufacturer that ships nail products all over North America, while employing over 300 in Poplar Bluff. I have no doubt that Doug will take his business acumen and innovation and apply it to Missouri government in a way that will benefit the state and constituents of the 25th District. Please join me in support of conservative values for the 25th District, by supporting Doug Libla for State Senate!" Jeff Shawan Businessman and Community Leader "Small business is a critical piece for recovery and growth of the Missouri economy. The only way for government to help small business thrive is through lower taxes, less regulations and fewer government sanctioned impediments. I support Doug Libla for the Missouri State Senate because I believe he has the experience necessary to understand these realities and will work hard to expand the environment in which small businesses thrive." Eddy Justice Insurance Agent “Doug has been a business associate and friend of mine for over 20 yrs. He is a very dedicated husband, father and business owner. I feel he will be a great asset as a State Senator for the people of District 25. With his knowledge of business and what it takes to create jobs, I am very confident he will move our district and the state in the right direction. I am supporting Doug!"
